Global Learning Coordinator

  • Collaboratively plan with campus teachers to develop internationalized curriculum and appropriate assessments to support it
  • Strengthen the overall instructional capacity of the teaching faculty through non-evaluative classroom observations, demonstration teaching, and professional development
  • Identify appropriate resources to support international learning and disseminate to faculty
  • Model internationalized unit and lesson planning
  • Coordinate support and staff development with the principal and external school coach
  • Monitor level of internationalization of the curriculum and provide periodic updates to school leadership as well as to the external coach
  • Participates in ISSN professional development and organizational meetings
  • Serve as the liaison to the International Studies School Network including the coordination of staff’s participation in ISSN events, and the sharing of resources, curriculum units, and assessments with other network schools
  • Work directly in classrooms with teachers to support their curricular efforts
  • Research and publicize to teachers, students and parents enrichment opportunities that support international education (ex. coordinate World Affairs Council luncheon attendance, arrange for students to attend university lectures, publicize study abroad opportunities for students and teachers, etc.)
