Peter Negroni

 

negroniDr. Peter J. Negroni is senior vice president of Relationship Development at the College Board. A career educator with more than 30 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, Negroni joined the College Board in June 2000. Dr. Negroni began his career in education as a New York City teacher before moving into administrative roles, including that of principal and superintendent.

He received recognition for his work in school reform and his longevity as an urban superintendent during his 10 years with the York City school system. After this, Dr. Negroni worked as executive director of the Educational Excellence Committee in North Carolina and as a superintendent of the Springfield (Mass.) public school system. He is the recipient of a number of awards, including 1998 Superintendent of the Year, ALAS (Association of Latino Administers and Superintendents) Lifetime Achievement award, and the National Puerto Rican Coalition Lifetime Achievement award.
