FUNDRAISING

Use the power of the Internet to reach your fundraising goals. You can post your project(s) on any of these crowd-sourced fundraising sites. Solicit help from students, faculty, community, and their friends to create compelling campaigns (many appeals are now in video form, but it certainly doesn't need to be).

DonorsChoose: Founded by teachers, it is an incredible tool for teachers to raise funds to pay for school supplies, field tries, and other things that help students learn.

Kickstarter: Kickstarter is often to help pay for projects, and not so much to pay for supplies or to raise money for scholarships or application fees. Use it to fund student research or action projects. Get the students to make a case, and help them post it. Projects are only funded if the minimum amount (of your choosing) is met by a certain date (also of your choosing).

Indiegogo: Indiegogo can be for just about anything! Use this to raise money to help students in need pay for trips, college application fees, college entrance exam fees, and just about anything else you or your school community can dream up.
