About

Global Connections, Global Learning, Global Advocacy

The Asia Society Partnership for Global Learning annual conference is dedicated to preparing American students to be globally competent and ready for college. The three-day event connects educators, business leaders, policymakers and resource providers to share best practices, build partnerships and advance policies to ensure the next generation is ready to lead in an interconnected world.

The 2011 conference will be an exciting one, focusing on what we can learn from the world about teaching and educating for global competence; technology and innovation for the classroom and for teacher communities; curriculum development to infuse global learning; as well as student and teacher advocacy for global competence as a key priority in American education.

Keynote speakers include Andreas Schleicher, Head of the Indicators and Analysis Division (Directorate of Education), OECD; Alan November, Senior Partner and Founder, November Learning, and Heidi Hayes Jacobs, Executive Director of the Curriculum Mapping Institute and President of Curriculum Designers, Inc.
