The National Chinese Language Conference (NCLC) provides a high-profile platform for sharing new ideas and best practices in the field of Chinese language and culture teaching and learning, and U.S.–China educational exchange. The program will focus on program quality and sustainability; cutting-edge approaches to teaching that incorporate culture; technology and international exchange; and best practices in the classroom leading to high levels of language proficiency.

The 2014 NCLC will formally commence the early evening of Thursday, May 8 and will close by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. The conference program will include plenary sessions, 70+ breakouts, and cultural performances on Thursday through Saturday.

Preconference workshops and school visits in the Los Angeles area will be scheduled the morning of Thursday, May 8 (advance registration required). If planning to participate in preconference events, participants should make arrangements to arrive in Los Angeles accordingly.
