The Sheng ji zonglu, which translates literally as "General Collection of Imperial Reliefs," concerns medical theories and the treatment of various diseases.The original Northern Song compilation of this monumental work contained 200 juan, of which only 26 are extant.Covered within are numerous aspects of the art of healing, such as internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, acupuncture, diet, charms, and even the so-called elixir of life. About 20,000 medicinal recipes are also included.

Also, in 200 juan, the revised edition of the encyclopedia from the Yuan dynasty has not survived as a complete set either.This volume contains the section Shanghan men (Febrile Diseases Caused by Cold), which deals with the symptoms and management of typhoid and typhoid fever.
