Ms Yong is the CEO of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore,
the government agency responsible for the growth and development
of the IT and telecommunications industries in Singapore. She is
concurrently the Deputy Secretary (Information & Communications)
in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
In addition, she sits on the boards of the Singapore Broadcasting
Authority, Defence Science & Technology Agency, Singapore Dance
Theatre and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Ms Yong has previously
held senior management positions within the Singapore Civil Service,
working on issues in strategic planning, economic competitiveness,
financial sector development, manpower development and international
relations. She was also the Principal Private Secretary to the Deputy
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Ms Yong holds an economics degree
from University of Cambridge, UK, and a Master of Business Administration
degree from Harvard University.
