Shankar is Managing Director at Bank of America. Based in Hong
Kong, he heads the bank's Investment Banking and capital raising
activities in Asia. His area of geographic responsibility spans
the twelve Asian countries in which Bank of America has a presence.
A BankAmerican since 1982, Shankar has held a variety of senior
positions in the U.S., India and Hong Kong with broad experience
in corporate finance, corporate banking, credit and general management.
Shankar completed his Masters in Business Administration at the
Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and Bachelors degree majoring
in Physics at the Loyola College, Madras. He actively participates
in various business forums and was a member of the task force constituted
in 1995 by the Treasurer of the State of California to solidify
the State's position as a financial center for the Pacific Rim.
He is on the board of Schoolnet India, a networked learning enterprise
headquartered in Mumbai and the Finance Committee of Hong Kong International
School
