Dr. GONG Ke, born in Beijing, China, 1955. In 1986, he obtained the Doctor Degree of technical science in Graz Technical University, Austria. Since 1990, he has been working in Tsinghua University, as associated professor (1990-1994), full professor (since 1995) and chair of EE department. He engaged in the research of wireless communications in terms of indoor and outdoor propagation for mobile cellular, rural radio communication system, millimeter-wave communication system and propagation, smart antenna, 3G mobile communications and micro-satellite system, etc. He is now Vice president of Tsinghua University for research, and director of Chinese State Key Lab on Microwave and Digital Communications. He is also the vice chairman of Chinese Institution of Communications and member of many other professional associations.
