Life with the Xiongnu

一。 Show the class images depicting Wenji’s life with the Xiongnu people.
二。 Introduce new vocabulary and grammar pertaining to Wenji’s life with the Xiongnu using the associated flash cards.
三。 Divide students into four groups to do research on the Internet to identify, learn about, and report on Wenji’s lifestyle with the Xiongnu nomads. Each group will investigate six topics: food, clothing, housing, transportation, trade, and language. They will use their findings to create a picture book with captions that describes Wenji’s life with the Xiongnu.
