MANILA, December 17, 2012 –- Thirteen of the Asia 21 Young Awardees from the Philippines gathered to talk about their upcoming activities and possible collaborations within the group.
As a continuation of the reunion held last June 2012, the Asia 21 Young Leaders Initiative of the Philippines together with the Young Public Servants launched the Asia 21 Young Leaders Discussion Series which will provide a regular venue for engaging each other in conversations about certain issues. Targeted to be held every month, the discussions from these pocket groups aim to promote greater understanding of the topics not just among Asia 21 but to the public as well.
During the meeting held last Dec. 17, they discussed what each of them has been up to, what projects they are working on together, and what suggestions they have for the network’s improvement.
Present were Ivan Henares, Quintin Pastrana, Dondi Pambid, Cecile Dominguez, Ching Jorge, Harvey Keh, Darwin Mariano, Mark Ruiz, Greg Perez and Dr. Cora de Ungria. Doris Dumlao and Steve Arquiza joined via Google Hangout.
The first session will be held in January. Details to follow.
