Peter Peryer has been taking photographs since the early 1970s. His black and white documentary-style photographs capture quirky, eerie, slightly disturbing images of urban and rural landscapes. The works in this show span a twenty-year period. Peryer’s photographs suggest an authenticity of experience, reinforced by the medium of black-and-white photographs. But their inclusion of the sublime and the banal also represents a search for the unique in the most everyday of circumstances. |
