Francesco Clemente
 


Francesco Clemente is a visual artist. He was born in Naples, Italy. In the late 1970s he lived and worked as an artist in India and in 1981 he settled permanently in New York City. His painting, drawings, photographs, prints, and sculptures have been shown in museums and galleries throughout the world. In 1999 he was the subject of a retrospective at the Guggenheim in New York City. Clemente divides his time between New York, Rome, and Chennai (Madras), India.
